Dr. Scott M. Frede is a board-certified physician in internal medicine, pediatrics, and sleep medicine, committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals of all ages. With advanced training that spans both adult and pediatric populations, he offers a unique, integrated perspective when diagnosing and managing complex medical and sleep-related conditions. Dr. Frede earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed a combined Internal Medicine–Pediatrics residency at University Hospital in Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He later pursued specialized fellowship training in Sleep Medicine, gaining extensive experience in evaluating and treating disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and narcolepsy. He has also contributed to national sleep medicine standards by serving on the Standard Setting Committee, which reviews board examination questions and establishes the minimum passing score for sleep medicine board certification. Throughout his career, Dr. Frede has been recognized for his compassionate approach, dedication to evidence-based practice, and focus on improving patients’ long-term health through better sleep, preventive care, and patient education. He is passionate about helping individuals understand the critical link between sleep and overall wellness. Outside of work, Dr. Frede enjoys spending time with his family and their two dogs and is an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan.
